Jul. 10th, 2012 07:20 pmSibsets my friend told me about:
Brennan (f) and Malachi
Gavin and Haven (m)
I adore Haven, but for a girl.
Also, a friend's soon-to-be nephew, Kayser. I can only take a guess that it must be pronounced like "Keizer roll." Yuck!

Nor do I approve of Kayser. Ick.

Date: 2012-07-10 11:30 pm (UTC)Gavin and Haven seem like an awful tongue twister. I don't know why people give their kids such similar names. It just seems like a lifetime of "Gav- Have- you there!"
A girl I grew up with has a son named Kyser (like Kaiser roll). Why is this name becoming popular?

Date: 2012-07-10 11:42 pm (UTC)Gavin and Haven (m) - I really love Gavin. Haven is ok for a girl, but definitely not for a boy.
Kayser - This is Arabic, I think. Maybe Indian. It's a legitimate name. It's pronounced just like it looks - KAY-sir. I don't mind it at all.

Date: 2012-07-13 12:33 am (UTC)I agree about names being high standards for kids, that's why I don't really understand the "Atlas" trend. I mean, it's a cool enough name, but who would want their namesake to mean they have the burden of the entire world on their shoulders?
