On Big Brother last summer, they had a contestant named Porsche. I hate it. Why would you name your child after a car? How about Beemer or Audi? Ferrari?

I don't even know how it's supposed to br pronounced: Porsh or like Portia (porsha)
And on that note, why not just name her Portia which is kind of a real girl name?

If it's pronounced porsh, I don't like it. If it's pronounced Portia, it's ok but I prefer the traditional spelling.

Kia and Mercedes were both girls' names before the car companies, though.

I know several women with the name Portia, not Porsche. I don't mind Portia, but it's not something I would choose.

I don't mind Portia because that's a legitimate name for a human. Porsche is a car.

I mean, it is a girl's name, just usually spelled differently. I would spell it Portia.
