[identity profile] lipsty.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I was introduced to a mum and baby boy at Wren's gymboree class and thought that the mum was called Gunnar (assumed it was German) and the little boy was called Angelo. It turns out that the mum is called Angela (common name for 40-somethings in the UK) and the baby was called Gunner. I just think it's such a brutish, harsh name for a kid.

Other gymboree names:
Zane
Vasily
Jamie
Inez and Esther (twins)
Lara
Isabella
Sasha
Imogen
Juliet

And names from baby sign language:
Brynn
Tamalian
Alex (probably short for Alexander)
Dorian
Juliet (same Juliet as at gymboree)
Scarlett
Honor
Ella

Vasily? o_O Is it pronounced like vaseline without the "n" at the end?

I think it might be a Russian name.

I will never ever understand the appeal of "Imogen." I think it's so ugly. It reminds me of a chemical or a machine, neither of which should a child be named after.

Tamalian reminds me of Chameleon, haha.

The only ones I really like are:
Brynn
Lara
Juliet
Ella
Alex
Dorian
