Do you remember that whole incident where I decided I hated our list of boy names? The sick or pregnant thing? Well, looks like I may actually be pregnant. Doctor's on Friday to confirm or deny. Pray for me!

I decided to stick with the Italian/Latin names for girls theme I have going on and I figured I should also return to Irish names for boys to match Aidan. Remy was French but since he passed Aidan is really on his own in the boy category. It would be nice to match with him if we have another boy! So now our (and by "our" I mean "my") boy name list looks like this:

Liam Christopher Gibbons (the only one I ran past the husband, and I think he agreed to Liam, but not sure if he loved the mn. I am content with this combo, but would be willing to compromise with alternatives. )
Keiran Augustus/Augustine Gibbons
Connor Hennessey Gibbons (I know I know, another surnamey middle but I thought it would really match Aidan Mackenzie)

The boys list was made up quickly so I keep trying to tweak it and swap things around. Feel free to do the same with your suggestions.

I have selected Gemma Hermione for a girl, but I would like some feedback on Roma Francesca. I love Roma Aubrielle but I ran across Francesca and thought the two sounded really pretty together! I want another Italian name option on the list and Roma is it. I'm just debating the two different middle names with it. Apparently Roma was another name that he was just kidding on. Except this time he liked it when I thought he didn't.

I do not like the "just kidding" maneuver. I like the "I'll nag you until you'd rather commit suicide than get in the way of the naming process ever again" maneuver. :P There's a humorous undertone to that but honestly I'm still a bit....irked.

To summarize it's basically: Roma Aubrielle vs Roma Francesca and then Liam Christopher vs Liam Hennessey vs the rest of the boy list and options from others.

I prefer Roma Aubrielle, but that might be because I've never been a fan of Francesca. Liam Christopher and Liam Hennessy both sound nice, but I agree that Aidan Mackenzie and Liam Hennessy are a good match without being too matchy.

How about Cillian? The dreamy looks of Cillian Murphy definitely has influenced how I feel about this name. I tend to prefer the Ciaran spelling as well.

I love Gemma Hermione.

I don't like Roma but I'm not sure why. Maybe too close to "aroma"?

I prefer Roma Francesca because it flows better to me, and also because I adore Francesca. I also love Gemma Hermione - it has the same thing going on as Roma Francesca to me. I like the "sound symmetry" of the two names together (I don't know how else to describe what I mean).

I like both Liam options, but give the slight edge to Liam Hennessey because it's a bit more original to me. I prefer both the Liam options over the others, but agree with the above comment about Ciaran - gorgeous spelling.

My son's name is Kieran, so I'm partial to that one :) I like both spellings but I'm glad we went with Kieran, and have had a few people from Ireland (big population in Boston) compliment us on choosing it because they thought it was a lovely name but that people would be more likely to mispronounce it here if it were spelled Ciaran. Liam is on our boy list for future babes, love that as well. I like your middle names for the boys except I'm not quite sold on Hennessey...

I think the girl names are lovely.

I don't know if Hennessey has any family significance to you or something, but when I hear it, all I can think of is Hennessy brandy. Well, that and my friend's dog, who is named after the brandy. Anyway, I like Liam Christopher better.

I prefer Ciaran to Kieran, but Kieran isn't bad. I like Kieran Augustus better than Kieran Augustine because I think it flows slightly better and I dont care for the first and middle both ending on an 'n' sound, even if the vowel sound before it is different. Again, Augustine doesn't sound terrible or anything. I just like Augustus better with it.

I like the name Connor.

I still like Gemma Hermione. I don't care for Roma as much. Roma Francesca sounds fine on its own, but I don't care for it with the last name. Roma Aubrielle sounds better with the last name, but the initials would be RAG. :-\

I LOVE Liam and Kieran!! Not too fond of Christopher to be honest, and Hennessey reminds me way too much of the alcohol and I can imagine he'd get that associate a lot growing up.

What about Liam August or Keiran August instead of Augustus or Augustine?

I like Aubrielle as a first better than a middle name. Not a fan of Francesca, though, so if you're really only between those two, my vote goes for Roma Aubrielle.

I like Gemma Hermione, or even Gemma Aubrielle.

I love Liam Christopher and Liam Hennessey is awesome, too. Hennessey fits with Mackenzie because they're both last names, but like someone already said, they're not too matchy. Kieran is cool, but I'm not a big fan of Connor. Would you consider Callum or Nolan as other Celtic possibilities?

Still a big fan of Gemma Hermione. I love Francesca and Aubrielle, but I'm a bit "meh" on Roma. Could you possibly use Francesca as a first name?
