A friend of a friend on Facebook just announced the name she has chosen for her not yet born daughter...

Brynlee Ann.

I really don't like it very much at all. What do you think?

What's with this Brynlee/Brylee/Kinsley/Kinlee trend? None of these names are particularly attractive, nor will they age well.

I saw somewhere on tv a girl was naming her baby Tinley.. I don't get this trend either. Don't like brynlee either. My phone also autocorrected it like 12 times into everything from Bryner to Brinkley.

I think Tinley was mentioned in another entry here, and someone said Tinley Park was the name of an area and a mental asylum in Chicago.

Actually a southwest suburb of Chicago, and it does have a mental health center--my parents both worked at a state facility next door to it! Even though I no longer live there, as a native of that area I would never subject my child to an association like that.

My sister's friend just named her baby Brynlee/Brinlee as well. It seems to be catching on...

I'm not a fan, though I guess the nn Bryn is cute. I much prefer Brenna though.

I don't understand. There are so many beautiful names out there, and people have to go and choose the ugliest, grossest sounding ones for their kids.

I hate to admit it, but I've grown to like the name Brynlee/Brinley. >_<

HOWEVER, I would never use it because it's too trendy and it doesn't age well, especially the -lee spelling.
