Names of kids making their first communion at my parish today (so, 7 year olds):

Fabio
Declan
Anastasia
Roman
Nathan
Maria
Felicity (I think, I didnt hear the last two clearly)

WDYT? I was impressed. Nice bunch.

I also met a newborn Juliana, and other babies named Raphael, Theresa, and Georgiana. My baby is named Philippa.

Here's the wild thing, I looked up Roman on various baby name sites after hearing it today, and it's in the top 200 boys names this year! I would never have thought it was so common.

Me neither! I had no idea! Since when do people name their kids after nationality/heritage? To me that's like naming your kid Philipino or French. Just strange :-/

Overall, these are so nice!

I dislike Roman, and not a huge fan of Declan but otherwise so cute! In particular: Anastasia, Nathan, Felicity, Raphael, and Philippa (one of the most amazing women I know is called Philippa so I always squee when I see it).

I'm not a huge fan of Georgiana but I do like the association with Mr Darcy :p

I love Raphael and Georgiana. I like Phillippa, probably influenced by a great friend of mine ;-)
The others are nice, not a fan of Fabio as over here at least it's really under-used and seems to be associated with particularly camp homosexual men.

Not a fan of Fabio, but I like all of the other names. I love Anastasia and Georgiana.
