My top 5 faves

I'm getting to the stage where I'm really starting to consider baby names. I'm 26 now and I've just been thinking about it more and more just lately. So I'd like your input! Are these good names, or are some of them a bit out there?

Skye and Leo are the only names that have been constant faves. I've loved both names for years and years.

It's a trendy list, but that isn't a bad thing. I hate the names Skye, especially with the extra 'e' on the end, and Jansen, but I think your top five for both are inoffensive. Leo is a lovely name.

Oh yay I can post again! Couldn't post for about a month. Anyway, I like Jansen because he's from a video game. Can you say geek much? :D But I just think the name has got a cool ring to it anyway. Yeah I've liked Leo for years and years. Since I was a child in fact. It's just gorgeous!

I like Leilani and Ariel.

I like Zachary spelled as I just did.

Leo is cute.

Forrest makes me think of Forrest Gump, but if it didn't, I'd like it.

I dunno, Sky without the 'e' doesn't sound like a name, if you know what I mean.

Also, I'm a natural redhead so there's a chance my children will have red hair. I think it would be neat to name my daughter Ariel if she's got red hair.

I prefer Zachary now too.

Yeah, it reminds me of Forrest Gump too, but I don't mind.

I agree that Skye feels more like a name and less like a noun than Sky. And it's not an unusual spelling, so.

I also prefer Zachary; it's my brother's name! :) He goes by Zach, which I think looks a lot less harsh than Zack and less unfinished than Zac.

I like Skye, Ariel, Leo, Zachary, and River.

The only thing about the name Stella is that it's the name of a beer (Stella Artois) and I am worried that the name would lose some of its class because of it.

I like the girls' names a lot more than the boys names. Leilani, Ariel, and Stella are great, and Skye would be a cool middle name. The only one I dislike is Avalon.

The only boys' names on the list that I like are Leo and River (I'd like Zachary, if it were spelled that way).

I love River for a boy and I am not ashamed to say that it is because of River Phoenix. :P

I like Zachary but not with the spelling Zackary.

I like the name Forrest, even though it gives me a mental association with the movie Forrest Gump.

I don't really like Janson, but it makes me think of the name Jensen, which I do like.

I'm not really super fond of any of the girls names you picked but I found out recently after having found out that I am having a girl, while trying to pick a girls name, that I didn't like a LOT of girls names! Haha... D: I like Skye and Stella the best of the ones you have listed, but I don't even really like those very much.

We have very similar taste in names! Skye (Skyler/Schuyler), River, Forrest and Avalon are all on my list! All for boys, though. I hadn't thought of Avalon for a girl but it could definitely work (nn Ava?). Great list :)
