Aurora might be the name for the lil baby girl waiting to arrive in September. For some reason it just feels right and like it was meant for her. I'd likely call her Rory as a nick name at times, but I don't necessarily intend to use it as a full time nick name in place of Aurora.

What do you all think of the name Aurora? Her older brother is Mason Oliver as I mentioned previously. I think Mason and Aurora sound nice together.

Any ideas for middle names? I kind of like Aurora Emmeline, but I'd like more options to compare and contrast.

I think with a name like Aurora, a short middle name sounds better, e.g.:

Aurora May
Aurora Jane
Aurora Belle
Aurora Faith
Aurora Fern
Aurora Niamh

And you could go Rory-Jane for short.

Aurora May is my favourite, too. I think May is a really under-rated name!

Agreed, May is so underrated.

I remember somewhere reading about some twins in the UK somewhere called Amy and May. I always thought that was cute. Same letters, totally different names.

Pity I like Amie better than Amy!

I surprisingly like the sibset of Amy and May, it's cute and not too matchy plus the names would age well (imho).

For some reason, I think Amie would have a different pronunciation than Amy. Amie would be "ahh-mee" and Amy would be "ae-me", with longer sounds. It's just my opinion though.

I know a couple of Amies and they pronounce it the same way as Amy.

I really like Aurora (and agree it works nicely with Mason!) but I think it's a little overwhelming together with Emmeline. Something that starts with a consonant might sound nice.

I think Aurora is pretty. I prefer Rory for a boy, however.

I adore Aurora! Rory is a great nickname, and I think both proper and nickname sound great with Mason Oliver.

I love the mn suggestions of : Jane, Claire, Frances especially and I can only add Aurora Diane as a suggestion. It's not a usual pick of mine, but I think it would work well in the mn spot and it would flow well.

LOOOOOOOOOVE it!
I love Mason Oliver too, and I think Aurora goes great with it. And I love it when you just get that feeling, that something is just "right!" I think if you are feeling that way, that's a surefire sign that's the way to go!
Emmeline is... ok. I mean it sounds nice but I just feel like something else would go better with it. What other names/kinds of names do you like?

This is actually my top girl name (nn too)! Anything sounds nice with it, really, but I plan to name my girl Aurora Scarlet.

I honestly can't get my mouth around the name. I love how it looks and the image it brings up, but I find it such a frustrating name to pronounce. I love the name Emmeline, but I'm not sure how it goes with Aurora. The double-vowels run into each other a bit.
