I don't mean to be mean (lol) I am just curious.

Why do so many people in this group have problums with popular names? I don't get it, popular just means a lot of people like that name. As I said above I am not trying to be mean or rude, I am just really curious.

My name was very uncommon when I was younger and I hated it. I always thought that it is an ugly name because no other kids were named Annika.
But now that I am older I like it. I have always been the only Annika in school and it is just better than when there are 10 other girls with the same name around. It's just confusing.

But now during the last 5 years, my name gained popularity and there are so many little girls called Annika and I just hate it.

(btw, I live in Germany.)
