We're good on names, but I just recently started catching a few episode of The Borgias and am I the only one who was confused about Ceasare being pronounced as Chess-er-ray?? I saw See-zer like Julius Ceasar.

And am I the only one it actually grew on? I almost want to use it....but not quite.

Also, I still think Lucretzia is a neat name.

What do you think of Ceasare?

Ray Sharkey was in a movie and the Ricky-Martin-esqe star was named Ceasare (Chezz-er-ray). I have always loved that name, thought it was provocative.

Ok I have a lot of experiences tied to names cause of my job, teacher, and dealing with the kids and parents. Its why i respond so much in this site. That being said, the name Lucretzia has really bad connotations for me; the name of a parent I had to report to child services for allowing her drunk husband to kick her four year old in the ribs. However I love the names Luca, Lucas and Luke which are all very similar at the beginning. By the way I know I'm a teacher and there are serious grammatical errors but I'm exhausted!

I really like Cesare. I guess I always knew it wasn't the same as Caesar, though. I heard it awhile ago in my Renaissance history class.

My Italian friend says that on the show, they actually put the emphasis on the wrong syllable, so instead of CHEZZ-er-ay, it's actually closer to chezz-ARE-ay. I like how they say it on the show, though.

At first glance, I'd automatically think Caesar too.
Ceasare is really old sounding and/or foreign to me, so... It's not something I'd use, but I'm kind of intrigued by the sound, haha. ;)
