Most of them are not my personal taste. I'd adore Wyllow Iris Lillian if the first name had been spelled traditionally. And again, I like the name Emmett, but not Emmitt. I also don't mind Parker, though it's a bit trendy.

Leela Anamae is absolutely cracking me up. Leela makes me think of Futurama and I'm reading Anamae like anime. :P

Man, there's a ton of "creative" spellings on that list. Yikes!

Eh, well, most of these families come from small towns in Illinois, and we had an article posted a few months ago that said parents' education level may be linked to name choice, and parents with lower levels of education generally went with more "creative" spellings for their kids, so maybe it's linked to that, socioeconomic class, and geographic location?

I read that Leela on Futurama was named for the Amazon warrior companion Leela from Doctor Who, which is who I thought of when I saw that name. I think Anamae is supposed to be Anna May made into one word. In Britain, Lily Mae/Lily May and Ella/Ellie Mae/May are trending, so maybe that's starting here, too.
