My cousin had her baby boy last weekend and named him Kiptyn. (Pronounced like it looks: Kip-tin). I... I don't even know.

(For the record, no, she isn't a young mom. She's in her 30s).

There was a Kiptyn on The Bachelorette one season. He's kinda famous now from Bachelor Pad and from dating Tenley (from The Bachelor). That's the only person I've ever heard of named Kiptyn.

I've heard of Tinley, Tenley, uh no. Kiptyn is too weird for me.

I...kind of like it, objectively, but not really as a name for a person.

Maybe a fantasy character.

I met a baby girl named Kiptyn at work last week! I'd never heard of it before. Her parents said it was a family name.

She must like The Bachelorette/Bachelor Pad.

My supervisor at my first job right out of high school was named Kip. He totally looked like a Kip, though, ha.

I'm not really a fan of it...

Was something wrong with Kyptyn? If you're going to use one Y in place of a letter, why not do 'em all?!

I like the name, but not the spelling. But I can't think of a way I'd prefer it to be spelled. I also think ending names with a "yn" is really trendy right now, and will date the name bearer when they're older.

I sort of like the sound of it, but I don't like the spelling. I'm not sure what would be better though. Kipton was my first thouht, but for some reason, that makes me think of Krypton.

I kind of like it, but not the spelling.
