There's a new boy at my work who's name is Prentice.  WDYT?

I don't dislike it, but I can't help thinking of the word "apprentice," so the name just feels incomplete to me.

There was a Prentice at my high school or college...I can't remember which. It always reminds me of the publishing company, Prentice Hall.

Katie Brown from the Katie Brown Workshop (on Iowa Public Television) has a daughter named Prentice. That's the only time I've heard it before.
