Was going through a list of "d" boy names last night and came across the name, "Daly". This happens to be a recently deceased Great Aunt's last name and so it kind of piques my Husband and I's interest.

What do you think of these pairings?

Joshua Daly Grey

or Jameson Daly Grey?

My husband JUST changed his mind about Jameson but I've moved on from it a few months a go and REALLY like Joshua now. Is there one that sounds better?

I definitely prefer Joshua Daly Grey. :) Jameson is a cool name too but especially with Daly, I like Joshua better.

I think Joshua Daly Grey sounds really nice. Jameson Daly just makes me think "Drink Jameson [whiskey] daily" or something.

Haha no problem. As a general rule, I Google any combination I come up with that I like for that reason. Although when I'm doing girls' names I make sure the strict filter is on. There are a lot of porn stars taking up adorable names. :(

I don't like James as a first name, we were thinking of using it as a middle but I really like the nickname, JD.

for me Joshua Daly sounds better but when you add Grey it sounds off I guess. For some reason Jameson breaks it up.. I don't really know how since it's in the beginning, maybe it's because it is so much longer... But both sound good.

I prefer Joshua Daly Grey. Pairing a common name with an uncommon one is probably a pretty good idea.
