My sister had my second niece yesterday afternoon!  I would have posted earlier, but I have been at the hospital with them.  :)

I do prefer Emmeline to Emma as a full name, with the nn of Emma.

I'm with you on Emma and Leona. But Jean? I do NOT get the popularity of that name. In my part of the world, it's kind of an old lady name.

It is an "old lady" name, IMO, but I think it works with both Leona and Emma.

I now love the name Emma now because of the lady in my icon, but its VERY popular :) But I really like it with Jean :D Leona is lovely, totally on my baby name list.

I absolutely agree. I campaigned for Emma to be Emma Renee, but we were vetoed by my brother-in-law. Boo. LOL

Well I was going to ask about Jean being both girls middle names, but you already answered that in a previous comment. I happen to have an Aunt Leona but she always goes by Aunt Lee. She hates Leona, which I thought was odd since think Leona is a gorgeous name. I think Emma is a very pretty name, deserving of it's popularity. Emma is my brother's adamant choice for a girl in the future.

My sister's middle name is Leona (she was named after our beloved grandmother) and my BIL's middle name is Leon, so it's both a family name and just plain makes a ton of sense to pass it on. LOL :)

Thank you! I am so thrilled. Emma is my lucky baby. My San Jose Sharks won the night she was born and tonight, all because I was hogging her.
