I had an old coworker named Vasilisi and I never found out how to pronounce it but it bothered me.
I also had a coworker named Silke and I never figured out whether it was pronounced "silk" or "sil-kee" or 'seelk". Her last name was German so maybe it's a German name.
Even Google doesn't have an answer. It vaguely looks like it's transliterated from Russian maybe? But I can't get the letters to make any sense right now! my best guess is VEH-lily?
