My newest nephew was born on the 3rd of this month. His mum (my sister-in-law Tammy) has 2 older children, Zak and Zoe. The new baby is named Jozef Damien or Zef for short. She thought about just calling him Zef, but she likes the meaning of Jozef, which means something or other about God (I can't remember sorry), and Damien is his middle name because that was the name of a family friend who passed away last year.

Thanks for letting me share. :)

A friend of mine has a Zephyr. He gets called Z for short!

A former teacher of mine had 3 kids, all Z names. Two girls Zoe and Zara. The third was a boy and she was taking suggestions. I suggested Zachary or Zephyr but she named him Zen!

I love Zephyr and hope to use it one day!

Oh and I also like going by Z for short; my name is Suzy :)

Just checked the name book: Joseph means "God will add/increase."

I love the middle name, but the alternate spelling of Joseph and all the Z's are a little bit much for me.

Similar to my friend's baby Dorian Josef. I'm not sure I like the "z" or all the "Z" nns... But, I like the name on it's own more than I thought I would. It would probably grow on me.

Somebody likes Zs. Of those names I only like Zoe but wish it were Zoey. She should have named him Zef if only to keep with the three letter consistency.

It's interesting how some people work so hard to make a sibset cohesive, and others (like me) are so totally opposite. I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with either way, though.

I have actually crossed great names off my list because I don't want any of my kids' names to be too similar. Ex: I love the name Elliott so I have eliminated Emma from my list. Although I love Emma too, I love it less.

I do love the names Zachary, Zoe, and Joseph... I just wouldn't ever do two Z-names together and I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to make a third name match.

I am Melissa and my younger sister is Emily. Our names actually start with the same 4 letters, but my parents didn't do it intentionally. They didn't notice till I pointed it out to them. Most people never notice it.

Another reason I want to avoid a matchy sibset is that my kids' parents will be Melissa & Michael (his fam calls us M&M- cringe), so if our kids were Elliott, Ethan, and Emma or something, that would be a way too cutesy fam.
