My cousin (Matthew) and his wife (Sarah) just had their first baby. They've called her Alisi Sarah - our family has Germanic roots and to keep them going, they've chosen the Germanic form of Alice. Alisi is pronounced Ah-LEE-see or Ah-LISS-ee depending on where you are; I've only seen the name written down so far so I don't know their choice on that :)

I think it's wonderful, and thought I'd share because I don't think it's used often. The only thing that may confuse us in our family is that we have three little girls in the youngest generation, all born within 3 years, called (in age order) Ella, Anise and Alisi ;)

I like it. I'm an Alissa, so not that different. I like either pronunciation of Alisi.

I've never seen Alisi but it is a cute variation of Alice. Very pretty. I also like Anise and Ella :)

That's the name of an Italian restaurant where I live so I always thought it was Italian haha. I like it!

Alisi is very pretty, as is Ella and Anise. Congratulations on the new baby.
