Theodora versus Theadora?

Obviously, Theodora is the 'correct' version, being a feminine form of Theodore, but Theadora is closer to how I hear people pronounce it. I saw it in the Oscar In Memoriam montage.

Theodora. The first "a" in the second one is distracting.

Very well said.
I like Thea for short, though.

While I understand Theodora would be the feminine Theodore, I much prefer Theadora so that the nn "Thea" can be used. You wouldn't want to use "Theo".

Theodora.

This is actually our top choice for a girl, and unlike the above poster, we actually would love to use "Theo" as a nickname.

Theodora. For some reason when I see Theadora I want to pronounce it "Tay-uh-dora."

You know, I think that the spelling "Theadora" subtly changes the meaning from "gift of God" to "gift of Goddess." I kind of like that, personally, and I'm normally opposed to creative spellings. But done with intent, to change the meaning, I do like it.
