Local actor Eddie Perfect and wife Lucy Cochrane have welcomed daughter Lottie Lux, a younger sister to Kitty.

I can't imagine going through life with a cutesy name like that.

Lotta lucks? That's what I hear.

I like Lottie (and Kitty) as nicknames.

Kitty is awful but I know a roman named Lotte (Lottie) that is so super awesome that I really like the name now :)

Lottie was my great-grandmother's name. She was from Poland. It strikes me as a Slavic name (Though it probably is a Charlotte derivative in this case, but *my* first thought is Slavic. Thanks, Babci)

Yep, "cutesy" pretty much nails it. I wonder if Kitty's middle name starts with a K?

I like Lux, but really wish Lottie was short for Charlotte.

Overall I'm more irritated with how they misused Lux. Lux and it's like counterparts (statement names is what I like to think of them as) can be awesome names but you have to balance it out and put real thought into it.

If they're going to use Lux they should use a more super traditional first name like Margaret and then use it as a middle name there. Margaret Lux Lastname doesn't sound nearly as ridiculous to me. Or the reverse is true, like Lux Margaret Lastname. There's a distinct balance in play there, and I think that's why it works.

I know Charlotte is an established (and very lovely) name but it just feels more modern to me, whereas I perceive Margaret to have been used for much longer, hence why I used it as an example. I hate Charlotte Lux but Katherine Lux would've also been pretty.

Lottie Lux just sounds like a stage name to me.

I agree with all of this.

Would Charlotte Lux be so much better? I think either Charlotte or Lottie is fine, it's that middle name that throws it off and turns it to over the top cutesy. And on the same note I think Katherine or Kitty is fine as well. It's not like they're made up names.

So the older girl's name is Kitty Perfect? It almost sounds like a name out of a Bond film. Or and adult film.

Lottie isn't as bad as Kitty.
