While I'm not pregnant.....YET.....fiance and I have been thinking about names we're going to name our children.
We have the boys name picked out already...there was no problem with that.
Our little girl will be Charlotte (we'll call her Charlie)......our problem is we're having a hard time finding a decent middle name. We considered Leigh, but it just doesn't "flow" well with Charlotte.
Any ideas? Suggestions?

Lottie is another, more feminine, nickname for Charlotte.

Date: 2006-08-17 04:18 pm (UTC)Charlotte is the feminine form of my grandfathers name. And I've always loved "boys names for girls" nicknames (i.e. Charlie for Charlotte, Joey for Josephine, Dani for Danielle...etc)
Lottie...I'm sorry, to me that just screams "old lady". When she's older, if she wants to change her nickname, then she's free to do so.
We've got a long while to choose...I guess I just feel bad that we've got a boys name picked and not a complete girls name. If that makes sense.

Date: 2006-08-17 05:24 pm (UTC)Cassie's name. Heh...I have a fascination with Greek names. At one point, I had even considered the name "Ophelia" until I passed it by my boss at the time and he said "Ohhhh, I want to O-feel-ia you...." (kinda letting me know she'd get teased all her life)...
I couldn't tell you how many names we went through for her. One day though, as I was about to go on maternity leave, the name Cassandra hit me.
So, we paired that with my middle name (Lynn...it's been passed down ;))
Good luck with naming your daughter. When are you due?
