[identity profile] happyevrafter.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Still considering names for our baby girl that will be here in ten days (or less)! We have a few favorites but I have been stuck on finding good middle names. There are some restrictions! We have a very long, Italian last name with 4 syllables that ends in an i (sounding like ee) so I don't want the middle name to end with an "a" or "ee" sound, and I don't want it to start with a vowel either (since first name ends in an "a"). Picky I know... Thanks in advance! Here are some of the names we like right now:

Guiliana (this one is in the lead right now)
Nina
Sylvia
Bianca
Cecelia
Leena

Some of the middle names I've been tossing around are:
Mae
Camille
Grace
Claire
Faye

I've always loved names and I HATE that I haven't decided on one yet, but I just can't seem to commit! Maybe once I see her, it will just come to me, lol.

I'm guessing you know this, but the standard spelling is Giuliana -- the way you have it spelled would more likely be pronounced "Gwee-lee-ah-na" if someone were just pronouncing it phonetically, which is pretty likely since you have an Italian last name.

That said, I really like all your choices and think they make some really pretty pairings!

I think my top favorites would be Giuliana Mae and Bianca Faye.

Yes, and another standard spelling is Cecilia instead of Cecelia (which is a little distracting).

Guiliana is really nice, Bianca is a name I've been thinking about a lot recently too.

Other middle name suggestions:
Celeste
Olive
Constance
Rose

I think Guilliana Camille is gorgeous. I think Elise or Grace would be really nice middle names as well.

Very pretty first names! I'd spell Leena as Lena; the first way looks redundant. I think Lena Camille would be oh-so-gorgeous.

Love Guiliana. Love love love it. It was one of the ones the hubby vetoed on me. psh. I think for your middle name I like the ring of Mae or Faye with Guiliana. I've also been partial to Rose as a middle name, but I know some people think it's too old fashioned. *shrug*
