[identity profile] brandious.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

We just found out we are having a girl (due in June) and we are having trouble with spelling of the first name and choosing between 2 middle names.

First question is which spelling do you like best: Hadleigh or Hadley.

Also, do you like Elise or Annalise (Anneliese) as a middle name?

TIA!

What's your last name? Or how many syllables?

Without that info, I think Hadley Elise.

Then I think either one would work :) I really like both names, good choices, and congrats on the new little one!

I like both spellings, but I think Hadley looks better with the middle names. My vote is for Hadley Elise.

I think I'd have to say Hadley Annalise.

Hadley, for sure. But being that Hadley is 2-syllables, and Harvard is 2-syllables, I'd have to go with Annaliese. It breaks it up. Otherwise, you'd have an all 2-syllable name.

Hadley Annaeliese Harvard sounds fantastic. Hadley Elise Harvey sounds nice too, though.

BTW, I apologize for all of those spelling errors. I should say, Hadley Anneliese Havard!

Definitely Hadley. As far as the middle name, I'm not sure. I prefer the spelling of Anneliese over Annalise.

I say Harley Annalise. I have a hard time saying Hadley Elise the two different e sounds after one another are a difficult transition personally.

Agreed. The E-E sounds are too similar. Also prefer HAH to HEH as initials. :)

I'd have to go with Hadley Elise.

Hadley, definitely! That's the only way I've ever seen it spelled, and Hadleigh looks off to me.

I like both Elise (my middle name!) and Annalise (I think I prefer this spelling) but would probably only use the latter if you have a one-syllable-long last name.

Definitely prefer Hadley and marginally prefer Hadley Annalise (I think both middle names work nicely though.)

Definitely Hadley, with Elise as the middle name. For me, it flows better, especially with your surname. Anneliese would still work, but the extra syllables don't roll as well off the tongue.

I love all three names, though. And congratulations. :)

Hadley Annalise/Anneliese! I like it! I don't usually like names ending in the "lee" sound, but this is cute!
