My friend Stephanie Lynn and her husband Eric (no middle), along with older sister Kaylie Lynn (2), have welcomed Tessa Marie.

I really am not a fan of any of the names.  Kaylie doesn't age well to me (most names that end in that -ee noise don't sound right if you add Gramma before them, except old names like Elsie) and Tessa makes me think of Degrassi High: School's Out. (I really hope someone gets that reference....)

I HATE the -ee sound. Coming from a Julie :(

To me, Tessa is an animal name.

Coming from an Emily, I really hate the -ee sound too :( Ugh, it just grates on me, especially as I prefer harder sounds.

I love the name Emily! It's my sister's name, as well as my mom's great aunt's name.

I generally don't like the "ee" sound in a given name (it's fine for nns), but I think there are a few names where you can get away with it--Emily and Sophie for example. Kaylie definitely sounds juvenile though.

Tessa is kind of boring with Marie, but the name isn't bad. I like Tessa.

I know a Kayleigh (she's 22 or 23), and the name fits her... kind of negatively. It's such a cutesy name and she is really immature.

Tessa is okay but it sounds like a nickname. I don't know what the full name would be, Countessa? But yeah... neither of the names are ones I would use.
