When I was cleaning out a junk drawer today, I came across the lists I made when I was pregnant with my second son and trying to come up with names.

Boys:
August (nn Gus) -this is what he's named
Theodore (nn Theo)
Cormac (possible nn Mac)
Declan

Girls:
Eliza
Eliazabeth (nn Betsy)
Audrey
Louisa
Lydia
Lyra

Ha! Theodore and Henry have been on my mind a lot lately. I thought maybe Henry Theodore because I *love* how they sound in that order, but I was also looking at Theodore as a first name. I like it on it's own but I would love the nickname of Teddy, and I usually despise nicknames! I just don't know what middle name I would use.

I have lots of boys names that I like, but I think I took too many liberties with them and didn't make them masculine enough. So I was looking to balance out a list of Rafe Hollis and Jasper Grayson with something a little more classic as another option. I'm keeping Gabriel, but I want to add either Henry or Theodore to it.

I'll have to make another middle name request post later! :)

I like every single on of your boy considerations! As for the girls, I like Eliza as a nn for Elizabeth (Betsy is cute, but I don't think it ages well) Louisa as a middle name, and Lydia.

For some reason I had never thought of Cormac w/ a nickname of Mac, but that could really grow on me. I really like your taste in boy names in general!

I like Lydia, you don't hear that name very often. It sounds so formal and sweet.

Oopa, that was a typo. Should be Elizabeth. Good catch :)
