My husband and I are not currently pregnant but we're planning on getting pregnant in the following year. We have an almost two year old named Xander Paul W_____ and we're fairly agreed on Dominic Russell if baby #2 is a boy (nn: Dom). We have no ideas for girls. I'm very set on the middle name being Adilfa (my mother's name and my middle name) but all the first names I like end in "a" and I dislike the way it sounds. I do like the name Persephone. Would Penny as a nickname fit? Other name suggestions that go well with the middle name?

I've never heard the name Adilfa before, but I quite like it. I'm kinda struggling for suggestions that I really like with it [other than Persephone, I really think it works and kinda CANNOT UNSEE XD]

I've never seen the name Adilfa outside my family. My uncle says my grandmother heard it in a legend native to her country.

I'm totally biased here because I adore the name Persephone, so I'm also having trouble thinking of anything else, especially since it flows so beautifully with Adilfa (which I've never heard before but I quite like). I like Penny as a nickname, although I've always thought of Sephy as the nickname for Persephone (thanks, Noughts & Crosses), Penny's growing on me now that you mention it.

Persephone is gorgeous, and I think Penny would suit nicely as a nn. I can't think of any other suggestions but Persephone Adilfa sounds awesome!

I love Persephone. It was my top name for a number of years with the nickname Penny. I also kind of liked Persi as a nn. I don't know if initials matter to you or not. The initials would be PAW, but that makes me think of puppies so that's not too bad.

Awww, I love Dom! I think Dom and Xander are adorable together!

And I do really like Persephone. People would probably ask her how to spell it all the time, but people are dumb. I love it paired with the family middle name! I think Penny is great, and I think Poppy, Pippa, Peri, Pear, Sephie/Seffie, and Ona could all work too. Penny/Pen is probably my favorite.

Are you guys hoping for a boy or a girl?

I really want a girl. I couldn't come up with any girl names last time and I think that jinxed me into getting a boy so I'd like at least one girl name my husband and I can agree on.
