Jan. 27th, 2012 01:59 pmI always think it's interesting when parents sound like they could be in sibsets or have little quirks in their names in common with their children.
For example out of people I know,
Tiffany (the name of a pop star in the late 80s; born in 1992) had Miley (like Miley Cyrus; born in 2010).
Christina (b. 1991) had Neveah (b. 2009) and Faith (b. 2010).
and let's not forget this "type":
Brenda(b. 1970) had Brendan (b. 1992).
Has anyone else noticed anything like that? WDYT?

(these are all of the female characters on the show Friends and yes she did name Phoebe on purpose to complete the Friends *thing* (however I don't think she chose Rachel's name to have anything to do with the show, it jus happened that way so I guess she figured why not when they were pregnant with another girl? Lol idk)

I'd picked Roland out as a baby name when I was like thirteen, it just happened to work out that both father and son have names pulled from literature because Garion loves the name too.

Date: 2012-01-28 03:04 am (UTC)My step-sisters' mom is a twin, Joanne - her sister is Jennifer. And on their father's side there are a lot of twins as well. The only sets I've met were Margot and Margery; Kerry and Karen; Justin and Joshua; and Pete and Charley.
Someone I went to school with had 2 younger sisters... Together they were Kristen, Kelly and Kerry. At the other end of the spectrum, there was a guy I went to school with whose parents had just come from Poland before he was born and they named him Staush... then 2 years later they had a girl and named her Jamie ... total name opposites. Same with my friend Justin who is Italian... I feel like his name is fairly common/english and then his sister is Anna-Cecelia.

Date: 2012-01-29 03:44 pm (UTC)My dad's family has a lot of the same letters just coincidentally... everyone in my generation, including their spouses, has names that start with either J or K (or a K sound):
Joan married Jared
James married Chrissy
Krysta married Kevin
and Kaitlyn is as of yet unmarried but knows she must end up with somebody whose name starts with J or K. ;)
