Watching a rerun of Supernanny. The names of the children made me go "Bwah?"

Parents: Beverly and Eric
Emily, 11
Emmett, 9
Emma Jo, 7
Emerson (boy), 4
Ember (girl), 1 1/2

Why would you do that to yourself?! I've heard plenty of stories where parents trip over their kids' names when they aren't even remotely similar. I can't imagining purposely setting yourself for that.

all of their nicknames are "em." how confusing. and sad.

I know a family in which the kids are named Marie, Maria, Marcos, Marina, Maricela and Marissa. Their last name begins in Mar as well.

I like all of the names, but as a sib set it's a bit much. In my DH's family there are three Ds (father, son and uncle.) His Mom was always "Da, Du, De, WHATEVER YOUR NAME IS." I imagine there is a lot of that in their household.
