Co-workers baby

A co-worker gave birth just before Christmas, and the name is Zephaniah Surya, joining older sister Zoraya. I quite like the sib-set although neither are names I would consider, but I don't like the similarity between Zoraya and Surya in pronunciation. Also, her manager who gave me the news wasn't sure if new baby was a boy or a girl, but I can't imagine using Zephaniah for a girl??! WDYT?

I LOVE Zephaniah, though I agree that it doesn't seem like a girl's name at all! Surya feels more like a girl's name to me, though I could see that going both ways.

Zephaniah is a boy's name and Surya is originally a male name too, he's a Hindu God (of the Sun). I've heard Surya used on girls but it's traditionally masculine.
I like Zoraya!

I'm pretty sure Zephaniah is a Biblical boy's name. ?

I've never heard either names, but I immediately thought girl for Zephaniah...

Agreed.

Also, I'm not a big fan of either of them.

I prefer Soraya instead of Zoraya, but still not bad.

Not a fan of Zephaniah...to be honest, I immediately assumed it was a girl.

*especially since the middle name is Surya!
