A little boy in a preschool sports class:

Jean-O

Pronounced like the name Gino.  I'm thinking maybe the parents didn't know how to spell the name? So they made it up? I'd think that Gino would be unique enough (in our area) without having to make up a totally weird spelling.

I actually like when Gina is occasionally spelled Jena, but this one not so much! Jeno (closer equivalent) might be a nicer combo of the two!

I hate when Gina is spelled Jena because my name is Jena pronounced Jenna. lol I'm so used to it being mispronounced, I answer to Gina without even giving it a second thought haha

That is just plain silly. Gino is a really nice name and as the above commenter said even Jeno would have been nice. I just don't get the hyphen and the capitalised O.

Isn't Jean the female version of Gene. So - Geno?

It could be worse. I've seen Gino spelled as Gyno before.

So.... I didn't know that Gino was a real name.
I realize that sounds weird but where I'm from Gino/Gina is what the "Guidos/Guidettes" (for lack of better terms, but you probably get what I mean) are called so I never really thought about it. I always thought of it as more of a "type" than a name.

Jean-O is terrible. Just terrible.
