What do people think of the name Henry? My sister thinks it's 'old-fashioned'. My husband and I like it though.I was just looking for opinions? And possible middle names.

Also,we already have a son called Liam.My other question is,how does that seem,as a sibling-set?
I don't want matchy names, but since Liam is Irish, and Henry is (I think?) English,is that too random? Thanks. :)

Two male cousins from one family on my dad's side are called Liam and Aiden. I think they go really well together.

I think Henry goes well too :) More old-fashioned names are coming back around again anyway without being overused.

I think that Henry is fine as a name, but if you use it on Liam's little brother, you're going to get like nine billion comments about Prince William and Prince Harry, since Liam is being used more and more as a nickname for William and Harry's real name is Henry. I'm from the US and I thought of them in like one millisecond.

I think I knew the Henry/Harry thing (Canadian here) but my grandmother is also big on the royal family and I google a lot of stuff so it's possibly I just picked up on it that way. Plus they each have like 10 names.

Liam is picking up steam as a nn for William, but I prefer Will and Billy so much more! I do like Liam as a standalone name though, and I think it's nice with Henry.

I think it's old-fashioned and I like it. Everyone knows the name, but they don't know 20 people named it.

I think Henry and Liam go well together. The William and Harry connection is too far of a stretch for me but perhaps I am in the minority.

Henry is a great name! It's also getting much more popular than it used to be, if that matters to you either way.

Henry makes me think of lots of very old guys /= Way too old-fashioned for my taste, but if you like it, you should use it.

Henry is a great, classic name that's becoming very trendy. I love it (unfortunately my husband does not).

to me they're both becoming wayy popular, but they're at different ends of the spectrum, like William is old fashioned and Liam is newer, but not creative. They're not bad, just seem a lil I guess like one parent picked one childs name and one picked the other.

I love Henry so much but it is getting really popular and I don't think I will use it because of that.

I love, love, love the name Henry! It's been my number one for a boy for years. I don't mind its growing popularity, as it's a classic. My family think it's too old school, too, but a lot of folks think "regal" or, like me, "classic."

Liam and Henry make an awesome sibset, I think.

My 13 month old son is named Henry so obviously I love it. It's growing in popularity though which is annoying but it's still a good name: classic and yet still not mainstream. I love it so much. It's English and actually means Ruler of the Household lol (which he is in our case).

It's funny because we almost named Henry your other son's name Liam so apparently you and I have similar taste in names :) I also like Max, Jack and Noah. My Henry's middle name is Ryan after his dad's first name. I think Henry Ryan sounds awesome together.

:) yay Henry!

I like Henry, and the nickname Harry too. I'd be more worried about how popular it is than how old fashioned it sounds, but I guess I like old fashioned names.
I think it goes well with Liam.

I personally think the name Henry is in the 'okay' section. If my husband really liked it I wouldn't rule it out but it wouldn't be my first choice. There was a baby at the daycare I used to work at called Henry and it really suited him.

Henry George
Henry Robert
Heny Edward

I think Henry and Liam is fine as a sib-set :)
