Middle name fiddling
Dec. 16th, 2011 02:50 pmHere I am, once again toying around with potential middle names for Alma.
It's getting quite complicated, as we have ruled out several initials due to incompatibility (exes or people we know and don't want to be reminded of). My boyfriend lately suggested Ophelia and Suspiria. I swear, I don't know where he gets these ideas! :) We're in Italy, so they'd be pronounced Oh-PHAY-lee-ah and Soo-SPEE-ree-ah.
My best bet so far is Gabriella, which also happens to be my late grandmother's name, but I don't love it.
Would you like to suggest middle names with the following initals? Last is name is Lorusso.
The more out-there, quirky, bizarre, the better, but no kr8vv spellings please :)
Ideally, names that could be read easily in both English and Italian. Thank you all!!

Date: 2011-12-17 12:40 pm (UTC)You spurred my research into the Shakespearean direction, and I've actually found out that most names in our families belong in Shakespeare's works :P
It makes sense, since he appeared to be very into Italy and latin-sounding names!
Titania is very interesting!

Date: 2011-12-16 11:25 pm (UTC)For example, Alma Rose, Alma Grace, Alma Claire, Alma Jane..I think it flows better with your last name to have a short one in there.

Date: 2011-12-17 12:36 pm (UTC)Thank you for your suggestions! I actually love Rachel, but it wouldn't work too well in Italy. You spelled Giulia and Giulietta absolutely perfect! :)

Date: 2011-12-17 02:08 pm (UTC)Valentina? Verona? Adele? M/Ariana, Allegra (love the meaning), Aurelia... For me, it would need a longer name because it's short (personal taste) something like Evangelina, Luciana (looove the Luc-names), Maddalena... I think for me because it is so close to Anna, it could go well with pretty much anything!!!
Buona feste nuova amica :)
