So how would you pronounce the name Emme?

I ask because my sister is considering this name for her unborn child. She currently has Halle Grace and Maya Kate.

Any special names you can think to go with Emme? She likes old fashioned, classic, but not overly common names.

Oh and for the record, my sister is pronouncing Emme like Emmy/Emmie.

I would say Emmy. I think it's cute, though a little similar to Halle in my mind.

Just some random middle names that I thought might work:
Emme Lou
Emme Michelle
Emme Rose
Emme Josephine
Emme Lane

Emme Rose Elizabeth? Since she likes older names.

ETA, I read the other two as one long name, which is why I put three together! Silly me...

Same as everyone else.

I like it, and it goes well with the sibling names, but Emma (which it sounds very similar to) is extremely high on the popularity lists right now, so I guess it depends if that bothers her or not.

I read it as Emmy.

Oddly enough, the first name I thought of to go with it was Grace but that's taken...

I like Emme Jane

Emmy. But I bet a lot of less name-obsessed people are going to think it's a typo for Emma.

Based on her inclination towards two syllable first names and one syllable long-A middle names, I would go with Emme Rae.

So did I. A second later I thought, "Bet it's supposed to be Emmy," but that's honestly not the first impression for me.

I read it as Esme (Es-may) at first so I thought it could sound like "em-may", but Emmy works too.

I have never heard it pronounced, but I when I read it (isn't it jlo's daughter name?) I want to pronounce it like the letter "M".

I would say it like the letter 'M'.
With your sister's pronunciation in mind, I would suggest:
Emme Jane
Emme Jo/Emme Josephine
Emme Charlotte
Emme Clare
Emme Adelaide
Emme Eloise
Emme Sarah

My first reaction was to pronounce it like the letter M. But then reading that she has a Halle made me think she probably means for it to be pronounced like Emmy, for whatever that's worth.

I'd say "Em-mee" (like Emmy or Emmie).

Emme Rachel
Emme Lucille
Emme Christine
Emme Victoria
Emme Cassandra
Emme Jacqueline
Emme Theresa

I'm assuming they pronounce Halle like Hall-ee? Then by the same rules, Emme would be Emmie. FYI, I pronounce it that way anyway.

Emmy, or Eh-meh

Emme Victoria or Emme Charlotte, but since she seems to like 2 syl FN and 1 syl middles... Emme Cass, Emme Lane, Emme Luce (kind of like Loose but with more U instead of O, rhymes with puce)

Like "M." Emmy I would only say for Emmie or Emmy or Emmee. I guess it sort of mimics Halle sound-wise, though.

I've been pronouncing it Emmy, but it wouldn't surprise me if somebody pronounced it Em.

I was going to say Emma...or I might just go with "Em" which is sort of safe as a nickname for any possible pronunciation. But I like the name, and all pronunciations of it!

I'd pronounce it "Em".
