I love this name...

I included this name on my list in a detailed post a few weeks back, but it has since grown on me so much that I am becoming obsessed.

I love the name Susanna so much that I want to have a baby! (I can't be wanting a baby yet...my plan includes 3 more years of fun with hubby!)

I recently determined when it was most popular in the last 999 years and when it was least popular: Susanna was #336 in 1886 and #997 in 1927. Most recently, it was #986 in 1997.

This name brings up SUCH feelings of joy and happiness and excitement--I've never felt this way about a name before (and I have really loved some names)!

Susanna Christine
Susanna Eleanor
Susanna Elizabeth
Susanna Grace
Susanna Janine*
Susanna Joy*
Susanna Lei (prn Lay)
Susanna Louise*
Susanna Rose*
* = love

Soo...SURVEY!

People with children, how did you feel when you finally selected the name you selected? Do you know what made you feel that way?

People without children, am I crazy??

Susannah is on my list, I think it's a wonderful name. Elinor Susannah is what I've got, so I like Susanna Eleanor. And Susanna Louise.

No, you're not crazy. We were picking out baby names WAY before we actually wanted any.

With the first name being three syllables, I think a one or two syllabled middle name works best.

I like Susanna Grace.

I prefer Susannah with an h on the end, but it's pretty sounding either way. I don't have children yet (or anyone to have them with lol) but I do get excited about names. I try to make myself not get overly excited since it will be MANY years before I even think about children.

My favorites from that list would be Susanna Lei and Susanna Rose.

Nope the boy and I had picked out our future kids names (well sons anyway, we can't agree on girls names so we'll probably have all girls) after we were going out for a few months. It's been 3 years now and the only name that has been stricken from the list is one that another family member used.
Also when we refer to the future we talk about "Little Eli and little Caleb"
I think it's safe to say I'm in love with the names Elijah, Caleb and Asher.

Susanna(h) is very nice, I have known 3 Suzanne's but no Susannas.
I like the combo Susanna Elizabeth and Susanna Grace the best.
Please don't use Susanna Rose, it's a little redundant, it's like naming her Lily Rose or even Rose Rose.

I understand why you like it and I think Rose is a very nice name on it's own.

However, according to behindthename.com, The Complete Book of Hebrew Names and The New Jewish Baby Book, Susanna also means "rose", that's why I said the "Rose Rose" thing.

I think it means "rose" in Modern Hebrew, but originally it was derived from Shoshannah, and the Hebrew word Shoshan, which meant "lily."

thanks :)

People without children, am I crazy??

Yes. But most of us are :)

I like Susanna Rose best out of those

I like Susanna Joy. Especially after reading how excited the name makes you :) I think it'd be perfect.

I really like Susanna Grace although Susanna Joy is also beautiful.

I have no kids yet, and no chance for the next couple years - gotta get married first! but i've been planning out my children's names since I was about....12.

Right now I'm into Ava, I didnt even know it was popular at all, I've never met anyone w/that name before (and my boyfriend loves it too, which is awesome, at least we have similar taste!)

I love Susanna Rose...I think I like it best as Susana Rose, and I would call her Sana rather than Suzie or Sue. I have a friend at school named Zuzana (I believe it's the Polish form) who goes by Zana and I think Sana/Zana is way prettier nickname than the usual Sue/Suzie.

I like rose also.

I like "Susanna Rose"... it sounds the best, and it's your name. I'm "middle-named" after my mum and I love it. It's not a "boy only tradition".

Susanna reminds me of "The Lovely Bones" :)

oh, and ps. you're not crazy at all... I've had my "future sons name" picked for 3 years already, hah.

I think Susanna is a beautiful name (although unfortunately it has picked up a few negative connotations for me, oh well). One of my best friends is Susannah Elizabeth Joy...so I'd say Elizabeth and Joy work well from your list! :D
