I love this series. George R. R. Martin is so creative. I have half a mind to name my daughter Daenerys :) Nymeria, Arya & Sansa are some other favourites.

This series is amazing! I love the complexity of the storyline. He has some amazing names too! Ones I love are Theon, Edrik, Benjen, Bronn, Asha, Arya and Myrcella.

Melisandre is actually a legitimate name. It's a deviation of Melisande, which is Old French. (I only know this because my name is Melissa, haha.)
