Middle Names

What do you guys think of multiple middle names? I prefer just one middle name. But I have seen lately that parents are giving their kids more than one middle name. I'm not too sure how I feel about this. I have a friend from who I went to school with that gave her daughter legit 4 middle names, I believe it was for all 4 grandmothers in the family.I can see the point maybe? I just don't understand it. I feel like it could be confusing for the kid possibly?

I grew up with people having just one middle name, so that's what I'm used to. I've heard of people using more than one due to indecisiveness,feeling it's more "complete", etc. and while I can respect that, I tend to view the reason we give our children a middle name is so that they can have an every day name and then an official name, which they can use to be professional, or when they're in trouble. And, I know that if I'm yelling at a kid because they were naughty, I don't want to be calling 10 names, LOL.
