[identity profile] pollysweet.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Ok, fellow namers. I have a baby boy on the way in two months and he still needs a middle name. I ran all this by you regulars a few months ago and your suggestions were great, we just can't seem to settle on anything. So since there seems to be a lot of new people in the community of late, I thought I would give everyone a second crack at it. Here are the details...
His first name is decided... Linus. We love it, even though we predict opposition from family members and others. (for that reason we always keep our name secret until the baby arrives so there isn't much time for them to complain before it's set in stone)
This is our fourth child. (ages are 6 and under) We would like the middle name to be in keeping with the style of the others. All middle names are pretty short, and not traditional...
We have:
Micah Venis (Venis is my hubby's middle name and we like it... it's pronounced like the city Venice)
Allison Snow (Snow is my mom's maiden name)
Noah Grey (We just loved the sound of it)
Linus ????

We actually did managed to stick with Bible names for the boys. Though most people don't know it, Linus is a Bible name.

We keep trying to think of a middle that is maybe an object name (like Sky or River but not those). The only thing I keep thinking of is Linus Benjamin which I like but it doesn't fit with the others. Linus Kyle sounds good to me, but it's a bit traditional too, plus my husband doesn't seem interested in it.
We also would like the name to be kind of masculine in order to toughen up the Linus part. :)
Oh and our last name is three syllables starting with a Mc... like McDonalds but not.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Also, I think if you like Linus Benjamin, go for it. I seriously don't understand the need to have all the names fit together... especially middle names. When are all of their names going to be listed together (first & middle) and even if they are, I don't think it would be horrible to have Benjamin in there :)

Linus Benjamin might be a little too close to Benjamin Linus, who was a manipulative character on the TV show LOST.

Linus Stone (thought of this one today). It's two S's but it doesn't actually sound like it. And it's so strong. :D
