I don't really see it that way, considering their first names are completely different. I've known lots of people who have done it, and I found it weird at first, but now I think it is kind of sweet to share a middle name.
Yeah, I guess I see that, already sharing the last name. The more I think about it, the more my "aww, its kind of sweet!" goes away. Then again, I don't think these people think about their names and others names to the extent I do or most of this community does, so it is probably not a big deal to them. :)
I just wanted to throw this out: just because there are so many names, doesn't mean people like a whole lot of them, especially once you get two people trying to agree on a name and it get more limiting if the two people have different styles.
I know I'll be hard pressed if I ever need to name a boy because I'm extremely apathetic to most boy names.
You said what I was thinking, too. I didn't know how to say it well. My husband & I discuss baby names a lot, and he dislikes -son names, and names that sound "English-y or Scottish-y" (Henry, Duncan, etc, etc), so it is hard for us to agree on anything (especially boy names), because I LOVE those types of names.
