I was unfortunate enough to hate my birth name and got it changed twice, which was a pretty difficult process, but since then I've been interested in what other people might consider for themselves!

I'm not sure if this is a little out-of-topic, but I'm extremely curious to know: what would you rename yourself, if you absolutely had to, and why? both first and last names would be preferable--thinking up a new surname was pretty much the hardest part for me, haha

I really like my name: Laura (classic, not tricky except that I don't like when it's pronounced "Lara" nor "Lora," not as common as it was when I was in school, a name in both English and Spanish--I speak both languages) Caitlin (ahead of the trend, named by my 100% Irish grandmother). I have a common last name that begins with a "A," but it isn't a bad last name and it's my last name.

But if I had to change it under duress, I would choose Helen (my mom's middle name, after her aunt, and could be altered to "Elena" for the Spanish form) Jane (I like the name and my grandpa used to call me Laura Jane for some reason).
