[identity profile] eveyalecia.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Hi! I saw this comm in the spotlight and I got so excited! I've always loved names and I've kept a name list since I was in elementary school.  Like many other people (I've discovered!) I started out by creating characters but over the past few years I've realized that I just love researching names.  I tend to lean towards either very traditional names, or unusual/rare names, and I don't like very many fad names.  I'll admit I do love most of the -aden names that are so popular these days, but I try to keep them off my lists because they're becoming so common.

I'm nineteen-- single and not planning on having kids anytime soon.  Someday I'd like to have four kids, so I've been keeping a list of my top four boys names and top four girls names, so I'm prepared no matter what. :)  For some reason, I like boys' names A LOT more than girls, and my girl list stays static for a long time, whereas my boy list changes every few months it seems.

Here are my current lists:

Boys:
Robert Christian (nn Robbie) Robert is for my dad
James Cohen (nn Jay)
August Holden
Rhys Alexander

Girls:
Madeleine Abbigael (pronounced Madeline not Madelyn; different spelling of Abigail)
Sarah November
Olivia Aven Faith
Sophia Grace (nn Sophie)

Other Favorites:
Boys: Nolan, Greyson, Orion, Frey, Arthur, Soren, Hector, Neil, Jeremy (nn Remy), William (nn Liam)
Girls: Leah, Cadence (after a friend), Shiloh, Norah, Valecia (my middle name), Wendy, Thalia (THAY-leah, or THAYL-ee-uh)

I'd love to hear any thoughts-- comments or criticism, whatever! I love this comm! :D
