Question:  Does anyone make name lists, according to different ethnicities you think you may end up having children with? I remember when I was younger, I'd make lists of names that I liked from different countries because where I'm from I grew up with so many friends from different countries, so it made sense at the time, am I the only one??

I never did that because I was never that organized about it! :P
But I also grew up in an ethnically diverse area (where are you from) so my one list did include names from all over that I liked.

not really. but when I was little I wrote a lot of names on my list that I didn't realize were tied in with certain ethnicities, and canned them later when I found out, on the grounds that white kids would sound silly with such names.

I also scratched one irish name I loved off my list because I married someone with an (americanized) irish last name. we're both 25% irish so we decided it would just be too much.

No, I just look up foreign names and keep a mental note of the ones I like to name my future children and pets.
