Hey all, I'm sure many of you must be tired of spotlight-ers by now, but I've been looking for a site like this for a while. I add to my name list every time I hear something I like, and I thing this forum for feedback is really cool. Anyway, I don't have any kids, and I'm not planning to any time soon, but I do love names. I'd love to know what my fellow enthusiasts think of my top picks. Here are my top five, in order, for each sex.

Girls-
Lenore Amelia (Do you like Lenore or Lenora better?)
Corine Johanna
Bridie June (Typically a nn for Brighid)
Lucy Susan (Susan for my mom.)
Sadie Gray

Boys-
Emerson James
Milo Roy (Roy for my brother)
Grey Aaron (Grey or Gray?)
Daniel Jon
August Edward (nn Augie)

Thanks to all you lovely people!

LOVE Lenore, I like Lenore better than Lenora but both are nice.

I love Bridie but I think it's a cute nn not a full name. I just heard it for the first time a few weeks ago when a waitress told me about it--really cute!

I also like Amelia, Johanna, June, Lucy, Emerson, Milo, August, and Edward.

I like Lenora better, but Lenora Amelia sounds repetitive. Instead, if you like it, you could use Amelie, and have Lenora Amelie (it's French).

I also like Sadie Gray, I think the combination is really lovely.

For the boys, I like the names Emerson and Milo, but I don't particularly prefer any of the combinations.

Glad to help! And I agree, I don't think I'd ever have Gray as a first name, and especially not for a girl, but for some reason it just works with Sadie.

I like Lenora but it doesn't work well with Amelia.
Lucy Susan? I'm sorry but it sounds like 'Lazy Susan' every time I think of it. lol

Awesome list!

I'd chose Lenora. I feel like Lenore needs an extra syllable.
I'd go with Grey.

Corine is absolutely lovely.

And Lucy used to be my all time favorite name ever, until I got my doggie and named her Lucy. She's my heart but I'm kinda upset I didn't save it for my first born child, lol.

I like you. Lenore is my daughter's name. Lenore Ardith. Ardith after my husband's late mother. Fwiw the only issue I've had with Lenore so far ( my daughter is 2) is that almost everyone calls her Lenora at first and most people have to ask twice when I tell them her name. But I wouldn't change it for the world. It totally suits her.

Love Sadie Gray - not names I'd usually pick, but they go well together. Personally, though, I'd advise against the "Grey Aaron" combo - it sounds too much like a moniker you'd give a historical figure or a pirate. If that's a combination you really like, use "Aaron Grey" instead.

Penelope icon :DDD

I love Milo and Grey the most :D Sadie is a cute name but it reminds me of someone so it puts me off it :p

I think I prefer Lenore, just slightly. I also think it sounds better with Amelia.

I love Grey. Gray never looks right to me as a name.

welcome

My son was almost Milo Gervais (Pronounced Mee-low) by I caught so much flack on it that I decided not to use it. However after that I kept all my names to myself and REFUSED to tell my family anything! I still think it's a cute name.

I also agree with Grey and not Gray. And I think it makes for an awesome name!

I have had 4 children. We tragically lost one to SIDS (the one I was going to name Milo actually) but I would love to have more still! I am still obsessed with names and I always have a list. I just joined this community so I guess it's my turn to list my favorites! :)
