Because most people I know don't really care about names, unless they're really funny or really stupid. They'll only become interested if it's REALLY UNIQUE. I've been listing names that catch my attention, whether it's from a work of fiction or a random bulletin board on campus. I also like searching for names with a certain meaning [i.e. Samael-the fallen angel most popularly known as Grim Reaper, hence the name means 'Grim Reaper'.] or translating certain words into different languages and comparing them to find out which can be used as names. I write stories so it's important for me that the name matches the characters. Some of them are Aprilynne, Alizeti [this is a Swahili word which means 'sunflower'], Aeryl [random list on a bulletin board], Asherah, Ceirtreacha [Irish word for 'rags'. Guess which character this name is most likely for!], and Margheritina, which are all girl's names. Some boy's names that caught my attention are Etienne, Arnaud, and Alphonse.

unique name can be pretty. But alot of celebraties take the "unique" name thing to far. Most of the names I like aren't really to unique and bf is into old fashion names. His ideas for our kids names (when we have them)
Boys: Alexander Leon Jones Girls:Destiny, Ashley
My idea for our kids names.
Girls: Jade Alexa Jones, Lexi nisha jones, Cora megs jones
Boys: Aiden Leon Jones, Ian Leon Jones, Hayden Leon Jones

Leon is a tradition in my bfs family so I'm stuck with it. But its better then having a bunch of Jonathan Jones Jr's.

Haha, yep, better Leon. But maybe you can convince him to use Lev instead, it's the Russian version. : )

I never remembered her! (Obssessed with Zack and Cloud.) Well, I think it'll be pronounced as Keyr-treyaka or something like that . I'm not too sure....I'll tell you when I know.

Honestly, I don't think I've looked in any of the same places you have, but my list of baby names has a lot of the same names as yours. Which I find interesting. Aprilynne, Aeryl, Etienne and Arnaud. Although Arnaud sounds a little stuffy for a baby. -Lynne names are really pretty to me. And a lot of names are just months that sound pretty to me. If you ever hear of a kid named December or January...You know who their mother is. XDD I'm really into unique names, and I don't care what my kids think of their names,because eventually, they'll thank me for it. Alizeti is really pretty sounding. Swahili in general. It's a really percussive language. I feel like if I were to have a kid and name him Etienne, he'd have to be a stubborn ginger. Or have light red tinted eyes or something to match his name, lol.

Is that so? Well, I just find them in random places. : ). Well, I do agree that Arnaud sounds stuffy for a baby. Maybe he can have a nickname? What do you think? I'll look out for a December or January in the future. Etienne really does give off that vibe, doesn't it? The character I made has auburn-brown hair, and he's a very contradicting character.
