Nov. 8th, 2011 08:04 amMaybe it's being saddled with a slightly unusual one people struggle to pronounce (goodness knows why, it's not really difficult), but I've always had an obsession with names. From where I'm sitting I can see two baby names books in my room, heh. One memorable summer my cousin and I made a 'Dictionary of Horse Names'. I will never know exactly why.
As of now my favourite names are:
(for a boy)
Benedict (...yeah...he'd get picked on if he was called 'Sherlock', wouldn't he?)
William (mainly so I could call him 'Elmo', short for the Italian equivalent Guglielmo)
(for a girl)
Jemimah ('Jemmy' for short)
Beatrice ('Bea', but maybe this as a middle name)
Giulia (Italian equivalent of 'Julia')

Date: 2011-11-08 08:24 am (UTC)I'm expecting (which is why I joined the community) and if we have a boy (we're not finding out!) he'll be named William!
I love Beatrice too, but my husband is not a fan so that was out of our girl's list. We've decided to go with Elizabeth, but can't seem to agree on a middle name.
