Just spotted this group on spotlight & I instantly joined in!

I loooove names. I myself am being called by different names, by different people. My close friends call me Yat; other close friends call me Kim; friends and acquaintances call me Qibah, and to my family and family friends I'm Umie.

Favourite names for girls:

- Essi (Finnish name)
- Freja (from Danish model, Freja Beha Erichsen)
- Sarah
- Kaisara
- Melissa
- Emily
- Josephine

Favourite boys names:
- Mattias (but not the English version, Matthew)
- Liam
- Brent
- Falahi
- Heikki
- Esa

Okay there's probably a lot more, but so far these are the ones which I can think of at the moment. :)

PS. I think I like Finnish names the most. They sound cute :3

I like Freja too, though I prefer Freya (I thought that was the Swedish spelling, but might just be the anglicized version of Freja?) Essi is cute!

funny for you to pick a few Finnish names on your list. i wonder where you picked them up and how would people in where-ever-you're-from pronounce them. nice list though! i like especially freja (would spell it freya though) and liam. and my grandfather was named heikki :)

I have a friend from Finland and those Finnish names on the list are actually his friends' names :D
oh and we pronounce them the same way as Finns do, since Finnish pronunciation is nearly similar to Malay(my mother tongue)!:)

My husband is a huge fan of Finnish names, too--even though we're not a bit Finnish! Heh. His favorites are Olli and Aamu.

not surprising!! Finnish language/names are quite interesting, though funny (in a good way). and Aamu should be added to my list!:))
