You have no idea how excited I was to spot this on the spotlight. I don't have any children of my own, nor do I plan on having them in the near future. However, I have always been obsessed with names and where they come from - I currently have about 20 name books in my collection.

I suppose I'll follow the trend and post a few family names.



My name is Ellen Ashley, named after my maternal great-grandmother. I have two younger brothers, Braxton Charles and Jordan Thomas. Braxton is after a Civil War General and (the river) Jordan is my mother's favorite Biblical motif.

My lovely parents are Mary Jo and Brett Charles. My grandparents are Mary Susan, Donald Joseph, and Pauline.

My darling boyfriend's name is Tyler Emerson (he was almost named Elvis!), and his parents are Walter Joseph and Diana Eileen.

Personally, I really enjoy my first name, as well as my brother's. 'Mary' has grown on me, but it may be because there are a total of 4 in my family. I am unbelievably in love with Tyler's middle name, and Walter has grown on me quite a bit.
