I'm so glad to have found this community. I'm a long time name enthusiast (as a kid it took me months to decide on dolls' names) and I enjoy reading blogs on the babynamewizard and a few other sites. For some reason, I never thought to seek out other enthusiasts on LJ.

I have two sons, Grady and August (who we call Gus.) We're done having kids, and while it's a decision I'm happy with, it makes me sort of sad that I will never get to name a girl. For the record, I liked Lydia for a girl, my husband liked Audrey. To make matters worse, we have a girl dog, but since we got her prior to kids, we gave her a boy name (Willie). If only I had known....

My husband has two brothers, and I just have this feeling I'll have lots of boys. For a variety of reasons this makes me sad, but mostly because I won't be able to use my girls names! I love girls names way more than boys names.
