Adrienne vs. Audrey

Which do you prefer and why?

Adrienne because it is a beautiful and classy name that carries well into adulthood. I know an Audrianna that is a nice mix of the two if you wanted to use the nn Audrey.

I prefer Audrey because it's more unusual, and because I tend not to like feminized versions of male names (i.e. from Adrian to Adrienne).

Audrey because it's not as harsh sounding, IMO.

Adrienne! I think it's so pretty! I really don't like the name Audrey, for whatever reason.

I love LOVE Audrey. It's so pretty! If I loved the way it sounds in French, I'd probably name my baby that, if it's a girl. I hate Adrienne as much as I love Audrey. To me it sounds like an old lady name and it has a bad connotation with someone I know...

Audrey, by a landslide. Adrienne is too much like Adrian for me.

Audrey for sure. It's just more classic and I'm sick of Adriana (and anything related to it).

I personally prefer Aubrey, so I like Audrey a whole lot. :)

I prefer Audrey because it is my daughter's name ;)
Adrienne sounds too much like Adrian and I just don't like it.

I like Adrienne, but I LOVE Audrey. It just looks and sounds prettier to my ear.

Adrienne, Audrey just reminds me of Little Shop of Horrors

I like both, but I like Audrey a lot more. Though I like Adriana most of all.

Audrey. I feel like it's more multifaceted, like it can suit a variety of personalities well.

I prefer Audrey. It is such a classic name that seems to fit all sorts of personalities.

I like both. I don't like the feminine spelling, Adrienne, though. If I were going to use Adrienne, I would just spell it Adrien (the spelling I prefer on a boy as well). Just personal preference.

I love Audrey. I don't really know why, I just do.

Audrey. I cannot stand the name Adrienne.

I like Audrey. Just not a fan of Adrienne, sounds dated to me. Also know a couple male Adrians, so I assume male when I hear it.

I prefer Adrienne. Why? I'm not sure. I read it in "The Nights of Rodanthe" and just thought it looked really cool. (It took me a long time [compartively] to realize that I also like Adrian.) And I guess, maybe because Adrienne, despite seeing it in a book, isn't a fandom name for me, where as Audrey reminds me of a mix between "Miss Audrey" and "Audra" (the latter being a fandom name).

I love both of them, but if I had to pick, I'd say Audrey. I can't really say why, though. It's just the ~vibe I get from Audrey.

Unfortunately my husband doesn't like either name. :(

Audrey. I think it's a classic name. My name is Audra and almost everyone will call me Audrey at some point in my life, so it's almost like a second name to me :)

I think that would make me hate it. :P My name is Adrienne and I'm ocnstantly called Andrea and I HATE the name.

I much prefer Audra to Audrey.

Adrienne, perhaps mostly because I associate it with a girl I went to school with. It's a more classic name than Audrey, which I think is just a bit cutesy and precious, not really my style.

Adrienne. I almost gave the name to my daughter, but like a pp, I prefer the masculine spelling of Adrian over the female spelling.

I don't care for the Ahhh sound of Audrey.

Adrienne. I think the name Audrey sounds tacky...not sure why but I do.

Audrey. But I don't actually like either of them.

Audrey. Adrienne is a little more masculine sounding.

I'm no help in this matter because I love both names equally. XD
