It's only a last name but my husband is still called "gray balls" and he's almost 28!

My nephew is "Caius", same name, just slightly different sound. I wasn't so sure when they named him, but it's just who he is now. ... except he wants to be called Toddler.

As a BSG fan I would never name a child that, but that's only a small segment of the population that would make that connection.

This exactly. I think it's actually a neat name, but I picture Gaius Baltar. Not the greatest connection.

It makes me think of Baltar too so I kind of giggle a little at the thought, BUT I think it's an awesome name and that association would probably fade if someone met a little boy named Gaius. Caius is great too. I never made the "gay-ass" sound connection that others above were talking about, but now that it's been brought up, I could see that being a potential teasing issue.
