I've recently fallen in love with the name Betsy. It don't think it's something I'd use. The Mister hates it anyway. What would be good middle name to go with it. I think Betsy Anne is a little too cutesy for my taste.

I like it as a nn for Elizabeth, but to me it's far too cutesy by itself to not give her other options if she wants to sound more professional as an adult.

I agree with the first commenter. It's cute/nice, but almost always a nickname for Elizabeth, which is nice on it's own and pretty much has like a dozen or more also great nicknames. Do either of you like that? If you go with that, who knows, maybe Betsy will actually fit best (and your guy will come around) but there are lots of other great options as well, and the main name is very resume worthy, lol.

Agree with other comments... Use as NN for Elisabeth and variations (or even Bethany, maybe a bit of a stretch). Or you could name her just about anything and use it as a nn, since I have a coworker named Elizabeth who goes by Sue...
